You really must listen to The First Law trilogy and Best Served Cold before listening to this audiobook, so do yourself a favour - go and listen to them and then listen to this one! Then after that listen to Red Country, Sharp Ends and A Little Hatred. Pacey is in a class of his own when it comes to narrators and this is no exception. Abercrombie creates the depth of the characters, the heroic traits, the flaws and the realism, and Pacey brings them to life with his range of voices and perfect delivery. This book is told from characters on both sides and every one of them is fascinating to listen to and the interactions between them leave you hanging for more. I can't get enough of these books, this being the 5th in this fantasy world.
